Directions to Photonics Building/ Merck

Drop off Location: Boston University Photonics Building, 8 St. Mary's St., Boston, MA

From West:
Take the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) East to Exit 18, Allston/Cambridge. Exit Left. Follow the signs to Cambridge to the first set of lights. Turn right at the lights; this is Soldiers Field Road/Storrow Drive. Exit at Kenmore Square. Follow Local Directions below.

From South:
Take I-93/Route 3 (Southeast Expressway) North to Boston. Exit onto Storrow Drive (Exit 26). Continue on Storrow Drive to the Kenmore Exit. Follow Local Directions below.

From North:
Take I-93 or Route 1 South to Boston. Exit onto Storrow Drive (Exit 26). Continue on Storrow Drive to the Kenmore Exit. Follow Local Directions below.

From the North Shore:Take Route 1-A through the Sumner Tunnel. Follow signs onto the Expressway North. Take the Back Bay/Storrow Drive Exit, and follow signs onto Storrow Drive. Continue on Storrow Drive to the Kenmore Exit. Follow Local Directions below.

Local Directions from the Kenmore Square/Comm. Avenue Exit of Storrow Drive:
At the first set of traffic lights, turn right onto Beacon Street. The road forks, but keep to the left and follow it into Kenmore Square. Bear to your right and you will be on Commonwealth Ave. At the At the fourth traffic light, turn left onto St. Mary's St. The Photonics building is located at #8 St. Mary's and will be the first building on your left. There will be a registration table set up in the lobby.

By Public Transportation:
Boston University is located along the MBTA Green line. From any downtown Green Line subway station, take the "B" train heading outbound toward Kenmore Square. (If you are coming from Haymarket or North Station, take any train to Park St. and change to the "B" line.) After Kenmore, the train will be above ground. Exit the train at the third stop above ground (BU Central). Cross over Commonwealth to the other side and walk up St. Mary's St. The Photonics building is located at #8 St. Mary's and will be the first building on your left. There will be a registration table set up in the lobby

Pick-up Location: The program will conclude by 5:00 pm at Merck Pharmaceuticals located at 33 Avenue Louis Pasteur in Boston. Parents can pick students up in front of the building, or students can either walk 8 minutes to the Fenway T stop on the Green D Line, or to the Longwood Stop on the Green E line. The #47 Outbound bus (one block away) also stops at the Fenway train stop, as well as on Commonwealth Ave. and University Road, where students can connect with the Green B line; and Central Square where they can connect with the Red Line Alewife train. The inbound #47 bus will stop at Ruggles where there are connections to the Orangle Line, Dudley Station which has conenctions to the silver line, and Broadway where there are connections to the Red line Braintree or Mattapan.
